L-O-V-I-N-G a little V-Day Party

The Boys and I decided that we wanted to have a little Valentines Day party this year.  So we invited a few friends over and we got our
LOVIN on.....and ended with a major sugar rush!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Making Cards for our Daddy's

We also made heart necklaces and sucker lips and mustaches

Lincoln was very engrossed in his projects

And then we ate lots of yummy treats!!!

And that is how we do LOVE DAY at the HOOGE House!

"I'm having my Birthday in Utah!!!"

For months and months this is all Lincoln could talk about.  He was so excited to be going to Utah for his Birthday with his Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and cousins!  "When it's my birthday we will be in Utah!!!"  he would say.  It ended up being a great day for Lincoln!

Before we left for Utah we gave him his Bike!  He was so excited and was trying his best to ride it all around the house.  It proved to be a little tough for him to pedal.

But he still had fun trying!!!!

We decided to go bowling for Lincoln's Birthday and he enjoyed every minute of it.  He even got a little upset when it was somebody elses turn.  His cousins were pretty awesome and let the birthday boy take some of their turns.  He was a lucky boy!

Remember Christmas 2011..??

Sadly, I am just now blogging about our UTAH Christmas!  It was the first time that we had been home since we moved to Alabama.  And...it felt like HOME as soon as we got there!  I had really missed the mountains and open valley's.  It was awesome to be back home especially for Christmas!

The day before we left, we let the boys open an early present from us.  We gave them little suitcases to pack and take to Grandma's house.  They loved them and had a blast pulling them around the airport.

At the Dothan airport waiting for our flight

We were able to spend lots of time with Family and just enjoy a break from flight school mode.
In a nutshell....here are some of the highlights:
I took Lincoln to the Nutcracker which he loved.  Grandma even bought him a sword during intermission, which proved to be to early!!!!
We celebrated Lincoln's 4th Birthday with lots of family!
Jordan and I got some quality date time at the movies...TWICE!!!
Family Parties.....
The Hooge Nativity
Riding TRAX to Temple Square!!!!!
and of course

Korea...here we come!?!?!

I needed a couple of days to let this sink in, but

The Hooge's are officially moving to Korea!

I never thought I would say those 7 words together....well at least with that 7th word in there!  The moving part it seems like I say every year or so.  But...here we are!

Jordan calling me on Thursday with the news was rather SHOCKING to say the least!  I was not prepared for that phone call.  I thought we would not hear for at least 3 more weeks.  I had been talking to Jordan about 10 minutes earlier while he was on his lunch break.  He told me he needed to go to formation and class, so when he called again I was surprised.
I said, "Hello" and his response, "So do you want to know where we are moving?"
DUH???  Of course!
He proceeds to ask me, "Do you want to guess?"  Ummm.. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?????  "NO, just tell me!!!"
"KOREA!"

I think my heart stopped for a split second.....................................................
Even though we had put it down as one of our three choices, I really did not believe that we would be going there.  I admit, I cried a little.  And then I started to panic a little.  I think I spent the next 3 hours on the phone calling and texting family until I was red in the face and extremely hot!  Hot Flashes...Really???

Well 6 days later I think it has finally sunk in, but now my mind is racing a million miles a minute!

How? Where? When? What to take?  What not to take?  What to do first????

Heck if I know!  I honestly need someone to take my hand and walk me through this one.
Overwhelmed...Yes, I think that would be the correct word!!!
Excited... Yes, I think it will end up being an amazing adventure for our little family!!
(And for anyone who wants to come and visit!)

OK Heavenly Father, if you say so!  I am sure down the road I will fully understand, but for know I will just put my trust in thee!
