Catching up...With Lincoln at Soccer

Life started to get a little bit busy with all of the excitement of graduation and moving that i got so behind on my blogging.
But....I could not miss this adorable boy and his first soccer experience!

He started out really shy and reserved.  He wanted to play so badly, that was all he would talk about at home.  He would practice and tell us all of the things he knew or was learning about soccer but....when the time came to play or practice he got very nervous.  It took a couple of practices and a little extra coaxing and help from his coach, but eventually he got in the game a bit!

It was so fun to watch him get into it a little bit more every game.
 Baby Steps People!!!

He was definitely MY son out there playing... staying as far away from the ball as possible and running the longest route to get to the ball.

Heaven forbid we actually get near the ball and chance getting hurt....at least that is what I would have been thinking!

He was super cute though in his shirt and little shin guards and really excited to run up and down the field.  I am excited to see him try again in the spring!  I think he will be able to jump right in next time and feel more comfortable.

He really did have fun...we just could not get him to smile!

Oh the Joys of little Boys!

Whether they are playing naughty or nice....I LOSE!

I honestly believe that I have the cutest little boys ever, but sometimes they drive me BONKERS!
They are now the best of friends and they love to play together, but they are either playing together and fighting or they are playing together having the time of their lives but....doing something very naughty!
Hence why I can't win!

Best buddies watching a movie together

One morning I woke up to this........
They had opened a box of ritz crackers and had opened 13 packages of fruit snacks

At least they did not eat all of those fruit snacks.
Lincoln made a little fruit art!

And if only I had pictures of what they did last week!!!
Daddy found them in the bathroom up to the sink with it clogged and overflowing flooding the bathroom floor.  Not to mention they had been dumping baby powder all over the sink and in the water and well.......Everywhere!  I may just have been a little to mad to take a picture!

And then there was the time that Sawyer came to me wanting a wipe because he had gotten into the Vaseline and had it all over both hands, his face, the tv, my cedar chest and the wall!

And just a couple of mornings ago, even after the talk about not playing in the water....I woke up to Lincoln in his room playing with his pots dumping water all over his train table, the floor, on the toys.....
I could go on and on!

I just have to keep reminding myself how cute they are and Yes, I realize that sadly.....I know this is not the end of their adventures!

New Neighbor.....

A few months back the boys were out playing in the backyard with Daddy when Lincoln yelled out,
 "Dad what is this?"
Jordan walked over and found.................

He stuck around for a couple of weeks and then he disappeared.  Maybe we were noisy neighbors!

L-O-V-I-N-G a little V-Day Party

The Boys and I decided that we wanted to have a little Valentines Day party this year.  So we invited a few friends over and we got our
LOVIN on.....and ended with a major sugar rush!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Making Cards for our Daddy's

We also made heart necklaces and sucker lips and mustaches

Lincoln was very engrossed in his projects

And then we ate lots of yummy treats!!!

And that is how we do LOVE DAY at the HOOGE House!

"I'm having my Birthday in Utah!!!"

For months and months this is all Lincoln could talk about.  He was so excited to be going to Utah for his Birthday with his Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and cousins!  "When it's my birthday we will be in Utah!!!"  he would say.  It ended up being a great day for Lincoln!

Before we left for Utah we gave him his Bike!  He was so excited and was trying his best to ride it all around the house.  It proved to be a little tough for him to pedal.

But he still had fun trying!!!!

We decided to go bowling for Lincoln's Birthday and he enjoyed every minute of it.  He even got a little upset when it was somebody elses turn.  His cousins were pretty awesome and let the birthday boy take some of their turns.  He was a lucky boy!

Remember Christmas 2011..??

Sadly, I am just now blogging about our UTAH Christmas!  It was the first time that we had been home since we moved to Alabama.  And...it felt like HOME as soon as we got there!  I had really missed the mountains and open valley's.  It was awesome to be back home especially for Christmas!

The day before we left, we let the boys open an early present from us.  We gave them little suitcases to pack and take to Grandma's house.  They loved them and had a blast pulling them around the airport.

At the Dothan airport waiting for our flight

We were able to spend lots of time with Family and just enjoy a break from flight school mode.
In a nutshell....here are some of the highlights:
I took Lincoln to the Nutcracker which he loved.  Grandma even bought him a sword during intermission, which proved to be to early!!!!
We celebrated Lincoln's 4th Birthday with lots of family!
Jordan and I got some quality date time at the movies...TWICE!!!
