The Accident....and My Brave Little Boy!

This just in... I am officially not mother of the year......

It is so hard when scary things happen to your kids and when they get hurt.  So many emotions....
Scared (More like FREAKED)
Angry
Sad
Guilty
Pain
FAILURE!!!!

and thoughts run through your head....
I should have known better!!!!
Why???
How did this happen???
Will he be ok?
Is their going to be permanent damage???????

How you can ever be prepared I will never know.  I just hope and pray that My Heavenly Father knows and that he will always be there to help me through it.  I admit I am weak and can only do so much and I need help!

The Accident:
My beautiful, sweet and tender 10 month old got the stroller ride from HELL.....Only word to describe it.  Jordan and I had been out in the garage finally clearing out and putting away that last of the boxes.  Lincoln was playing and I had put Sawyer in the stroller to play.  We were just about done when Jordan and I went to carry a cabinet into the house.  We were only gone for 1 minute when I heard screaming..... I already knew what happened.  But how did Lincoln manage to unlock the brake, maneuver the stroller around the two cars and make it down the steep driveway so quickly??  I expected to see Sawyer at the bottom of our driveway, but he was not there and the crying was coming down the street.  I start screaming and running down the hill in the front yard towards Sawyer who is down the street tipped over in the stroller in the neighbors driveway.  He was screaming and laying in a pool of blood, but still strapped into the stroller.  I was freaking out not knowing where all the blood was coming from.  I hurried and unstrapped him and picked him up to inspect him to see where the blood was coming from.  It looked like only from his nose and the scrapes on his head.  I immediately ran inside to clean him up and take a better look.  He was not having it and it did not look good, so we jumped in the car and went to the Emergency Room.

3 hours later.....(worst ER ever) we finally are taken back to see a Doctor.  Don't worry we are not freaked out at all about our baby's brain swelling or anything...... Jeez.
After more waiting..facial x-rays..and more waiting, the dr. tells us that he has no fractures and his nasal cavity is not broken.  He just has a lot of nice bumps and bruises and that we will need to watch him closely for the next 48 hours.  6 hours later we were finally home!
**Note to self...Next emergency we have, we are driving the 30 minutes to Dothan.

My Brave Little Boy:

This was while we were waiting at the ER

The next day...it already looks better

4 days later...lookin pretty good and all the swelling is pretty much gone.

What a little trooper he has been!!!  We are so happy and relieved that you are ok Sawyer!
 LOVE YOU LOTS!!!!!

V-Day LOVE!!!

OK....So I kind of have mixed emotions about Valentines Day.  I hate that it is so forced, for lack of a better word.  I mean the only reason we go out and buy a bunch of crap is because we are supposed to but...who does not LOVE to feel special and wanted???

So this year I really wanted to do something more thoughtful and sweet.  So with the help of the Dating Divas I got this idea....

And I sent my three boys in search of their Valentines!

Jordan tried to cheat a little by trying to just follow the string with his eyes instead of holding on and going all through the house, but i made him do it right...ha ha!  In the end they each got a little sumpin sumpin and I think they had fun!

My littlest Valentines got balloons...

Which they LOVED....

And My BIG Valentine got something a little more Adult... he he!

Me...well Jordan knows how to make me happy...Lots of Chocolate and Dr. Pepper!  What more could a girl want?

Oh and Thanks Amy Twitty for giving me step by step instructions on my V-Day project....I am really trying to be more crafty with ALL my spare time!

LOVE LOVE LOVE MY VALENTINES

My co-pilots!

So today we went to the U.S. Army Aviation Museum at Ft. Rucker.  We did not know they closed so early, so we had about 20 minutes to look around...and actually that was plenty of time for Lincoln's attention span.  It was really cool to see all the old planes and helicopters as well as the newer models like Jordan will be flying!  When we pulled up to the museum, Lincoln said, "we made it to the helicopter store."  Ummm I don't think they are for sale Bud!

Anyway we had fun and the boys even got to sit in an old cockpit.  They looked so little but cute!  Jordan knew Lincoln would love it because of all the buttons.

He was a little shy at first though.

Sweet Home Alabama

So we have been in Alabama for 2 1/2 weeks now and we are all unpacked and settled for the most part.  It was a LONG and interesting drive...4 days and 8 states later we finally made it!  Jordan drove the moving truck and I followed in the van with the kids and my Mom.  We honestly could not have made it without my Mom's help!  THANK YOU GRANDMA SHAUNA!!!!  She made sure the kids were happy and taken care of the whole 2100 miles....which means I drove the whole way!  I definitely had a few stressful moments driving through some of the bigger cities, but Memphis and Birmingham took the prize!  I hate driving in places i do not know very well.  I get so nervous and I have the death grip on the wheel.  My worst nightmare would be to get lost, take the wrong exit and not know where I am at.  But...we made it here and after just a LITTLE cockroach problem and wait for the utilities to be turned on, we finally moved in!

We are renting a nice house just off post in Enterprise that Jordan found.  It is a quick drive for Jordan and in a nice neighborhood.  We have not met any of our neighbors yet, but there are several ward members close by which is nice!  The ward seems very friendly and we have felt so welcomed already!  Our ward consists of mostly retired folks and then flight students with young families.

Here are a few pics of the house and neighborhood.

Thanks to my little model helper Lincoln!!

As you can see, our house is on a hill so mowing the lawn should prove to be fun for Jordan.  Also a couple of the pics are of helicopters that fly over 24/7.  It will be fun when Jordan is actually in one of them!

Here are some pics of the inside...don't judge me for the messes!

As you can see, the formal dining/living room we turned into an office/playroom.  We are not very formal people..he he.

The boys room!  (I don't know why the pictures turn sideways.)

WARNING.....These last two pictures are a little graphic and gross, but i guess this is part of living in Alabama.  The Road Kill in front of our house last week......

Check out it's little tongue sticking out.......Your Welcome!!

New place...new start! Blogging that is.

Ok...in an attempt to keep family and friends informed, I will attempt to not only set up a blog but keep it actually going.  No promises that it will turn out.  It took me forever to get this far....this should be interesting!

I really do want to share our family adventures here in Alabama with whoever cares to know, as well as for myself and our family since I am not very good at keeping a journal.  If anyone has any tips on blogging..send them my way.  I have NO IDEA what I am doing.

GOOD LUCK TO ME!
